People Over Profit -- D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation

Gary’s heart for people shows through in the development of the D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation, which is committed to empowering individuals to achieve their potential and to defy limitations by providing wellness and education opportunities to underserved communities. Every penny donated goes directly to those in need because 100% of the administrative costs are covered by Young Living. Donating can be as simple as rounding up your order to the nearest dollar. Over 250,000 individuals have been impacted by the work of the Foundation.

Projects and Partners:
Young Living Academy, Ecuador - Built in 2009 by Gary and Mary Young, the academy educates students in grades pre-K through 12th, maintaining a 97% attendance rate and 100% of seniors graduating each year!

Rebuild Nepal - The Young Living Foundation rebuilt schools and homes in Yarsa, Nepal, after the devastating earthquake in 2015, and is still focused on restoration and rebuilding in Nepal today.

Hope For Justice - The focus of this mission is to end human trafficking and modern day slavery. With 10 fully funded Lighthouse Centers, children rescued from slavery have a safe place to heal, recover, and learn. The Shine Career School in Cambodia also provides those recovering with education and vocational training, gives them hope, and empowers them to follow their dreams.

Sole Hope - The primary focus of this mission is to help children and adults in Uganda become and remain jigger-free. Jiggers are parasitic insects that burrow into an individual’s feet and can cause life-threatening infections. Just by providing antibiotics and shoes, men, women, and children can live and remain jigger free.

Healing Faith Uganda - This organization provides malaria education, prevention, and treatment to rural villages. In Uganda, 42 children die each day from malaria, and for just $1, Healing Faith can test and treat a child with malaria.

You can donate to the Foundation as a general donation or you can donate to a specific project that sits heavy on your heart.

Get Better, Stay Better

Add the number of drops listed before the oil name to a 10 mL bottle and fill with your favorite carrier oil. Apply to the bottoms of your feet, up your spine or along the sides of your neck. The Better to Hear You is specifically for ear pain, be very careful not to let any oil get inside your ear. You will want to apply the roller to the outside or behind for the best results.

Orange Mint Room Spray

Halloween Diffuser Blends

A couple more fun Halloween Diffuser Blends for this week.

Happy Laundry Scents

I usually add just 4-5 drops to either my washer or on a couple of wool dryer balls in the dryer.  I know some people who put up to 10 drops.  I'd suggest start with less and add more as needed.

Laundry Soap DIY

It might sound crazy, making laundry soap.  But everything is so highly concentrated that a little bit goes a long way.  To make it easier on myself.  I mix 1/3 bottle of laundry soap with 2/3 bottle of filtered water and for extra boost I often add either a capful of Thieves Household Cleaner or a few drops of Lemongrass or Purification.

Young Living's Vision

Already 6 million people have brought Young Living into their homes.  I am so proud and honored to be one of those 6 million people.  I love my oils and am so grateful for having them, and the amazing community that I found as well, in my life.

Respiratory Support Roller Blends

Just add the number of drops listed next to each oil to a 10 mL roller bottle and rub along your chest, feet, and/or spin for some much needed respiratory support.

Citrus Fresh Room Spray

Adding 1 tablespoon of witch hazel or vodka can help the oil and water mix.

This recipe is also great for smell shoes, gym bags, diaper bags... just about any stinking spot.

Fall Diffuser Blends Starring Oils Outside the Starter Kit

Diffuser Monday!  Fall is such an amazing time for all the wonderful smells!

Thieves Household Cleaner Scents

You can always customize your Thieves Household Cleaner to your scent preferences.

Household Cleaner DIY

This Household Cleaner is so simple to make (1 cap of cleaner in a 16oz glass spray bottle of filtered water).  I use this cleaner everywhere in the house.  We even use it outside on the playground and blow-up pool.

Seasonal Support Roller Blends

Just add the number of drops listed next to each oil to a 10mL roller bottle (or better yet, refuse a 15 mL oil bottle with a roller fitment).  Fill the rest of the bottle with your favorite carrier oil.

Fall Room Sprays

These two blends smell absolutely divine!  Warm, woodsy, citrus-y.  Can't get any better than that this time of year.  Just add the number of drops listed to a glass spray bottle and top with filtered water.

Fall Diffuser Blends Starring the Premium Starter Kit Oils

Whether you've only got the oils in your brand new starter kit, or your an old pro with a stash of 100s, we can all Fall in love with these wonderful scents.  All of these oils come in the Premium Starter Kit.

DIY Hand Soap Scents

These are some of my favorite oils to add to my diy hand soap.  Drop a comment below with your favorite oil to add.

DIY Hand Soap.... so easy!

This is how I make my hand soap.  It takes about 2 minutes (max) to make and lasts about 2-4 weeks (the kid's bathroom definitely runs out faster than master bathroom or the soap by the kitchen sink).

Immunity Supporting Roller Blends

Immunity Supporting Roller Blends
For each of the blends listed add the number of drops in order listed to a 10mL Roller bottle. Then fill the remainder of the bottle with a carrier oil of your choice.  Some great carrier oils are: fractionated coconut, jojoba, avocado, olive, and sweet almond.

Seed to Seal

Seed to Seal
Seed to Seal is Young Living's promise that from the time the seed is planted to the time it is sealed into a bottle, it is only the plant (or plants) in the bottle.
Seed to Seal is not required in the essential oil industry.  Actually, nothing is required in the essential oil industry because it isn't regulated.  In order for companies to put "pure essential oil" on the bottle there only needs to be 5% pure essential oil in it.  The rest  can be synthetic fillers and/or carrier oil.
